I am an Australian journalist and producer with 30 years' experience in print, television, online and corporate media.
My job has seen me report and produce news in Australia, the United States, the UK, France and Qatar.
I have been fortunate to work with some of the most highly regarded news networks in the world, among them the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), BBC World News, Euronews, Thomson Reuters and Al Jazeera.
About Me
My Story
I studied Journalism (Bachelor of Arts) at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba. While still a student, I was invited to produce and present live news bulletins for local radio station, 4AK.
My career really kicked off at The Chronicle (Toowoomba) where I wrote advertorial articles and learnt newspaper layout before being appointed fashion editor, property editor, entertainment writer and restaurant reviewer. I later moved to the Editorial Department where I reported a wide range of general news, rural issues and covered various rounds including the courts.

After gaining several years' invaluable print experience, I moved into TV news which would become my passion.

I accepted a reporting position with WIN Television where I was primarily responsible for the police and court rounds, but also regularly produced two live news bulletins. In addition to my reporting duties, I frequently co-anchored the news.
After three years working with 7 News on the Sunshine Coast, I chose to take full advantage of the various opportunities associated with the media industry by moving into the exciting world of freelancing. This period has given me the chance to work in corporate and local and state government public relations, produce a national television series and work behind the scenes as a story producer for reality TV and a travel program, write commercial copy, produce corporate videos, write magazine feature articles, provide media training to businesses and organisations, write for documentaries and develop pilot program synopses.
At the same time, I continued working as a journalist with 7 News Brisbane and the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) where, in addition to reporting for television and radio news and current affairs, I filled the chief-of-staff role.
I also gained valuable website writing experience at the ABC.

In 2010, I fulfilled a dream to live and work in the United States. Based in Los Angeles, I reported for all the major Australian TV networks, covering everything from breaking news to red carpet events, including the 2011 Academy Awards in Hollywood.
I returned to Australia to take on a new challenge - tertiary education. I worked at the University of Southern Queensland as a Journalism lecturer and tutor, hoping to inspire a new generation of journalists.
I gained long-form writing experience with the 9 Network's A Current Affair program which takes on stories and viewer battles like no other television show can!

In 2017 I relocated to London, working for BBC News, BBC World News, Euronews (France), Thomson Reuters and the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation).

In 2018, I was hired as an output producer for Aljazeera English in Doha, Qatar and worked there until early 2024.

From February, I will be based in the United States where I am looking forward to further enriching my life and career.
